We choose this challenge as we feel it is a very relevant topic in todays society. many people are excluded because of disability sexual orientation and race. we feel like this not fair or right. we feel like there should be a service or digital experience to allow people to access support and information relevant to them. This would be a safe space for people to share their stories and struggles. we feel as teenagers a tech place to go to will be easy to download and use.
Since investigating this topic we found out that there are many different resources available online for people who feel excluded, whether it be due to race, sexuality or disability. Sites like the Irish Network against racism offer information online for anyone affected by racism along with resources to report if you experienced racism, Enable Ireland works closely with people with disabilities and offer resources online. Online resources are a quick and easy way for people to access relevant information.
our hero is people that are excluded we have learnt that 73 percent of members of the LGBTQ + community are feeling unsafe at school and very excluded. people with disabilities are excluded from sports activities because they don't know the services available for them.
we would make sure as best we can to offer information to people who feel left out of society by offering information to them to improve their situation and to tell their story and experiences.
yes our idea is to create an app in which information for people to promote inclusivity will be available such as where they can do activities in their locality and who they can talk to. they can also share their stories to others.
would it be possible to make such an app ?
