Why did your team choose to focus on this challenge?The reason our team made the decision to focus on this challenge is because mental health is an ongoing problem and seems to be one of the most important problems that the country is facing today. Another reason we chose to focus on this challenge is because we want to find ways in which we can help people feel less vulnerable and more capable of dealing with mental health issues.
What have you learned about the challenge that you didn't know before?
Our team learned about the reasons people start to suffer from bad mental health such losing a loved one or a friend. We learned that people, particularly men, find it very hard to open up when do suffer from these things.
Outline the specific problem you would like to solve for your Hero and two or three solutions you think would help.
We want to solve the problem of why men don’t talk when they are feeling down. One of the solutions to this problem could be creating a website where people with poor mental health can anonymously send in a short paragraph on how they feel and why they feel like they may do.
