Why as a team did you choose to focus on this challenge?

We chose to focus on this challenge because it is a very important topic and it affects our futures.

What do you know now about the challenge that you didn't know before?

We learned that fast fashion and the fashion industry affect the world in many ways.

What have you learnt about your Hero?

Our hero is James Dunne, he is a 36 year old male who works with sustainability. James strives to make a more eco friendly environment. James has worked so hard to establish a company to do with up cycling used clothes and create something new out of them or put them to good use. James previously lived struggling to be able to afford simple things such as clothes and he never understood why there was so much clothes waste. This is why James had decided to work to create this business.

If you could improve one thing for your Hero what would that be?

If i could suggest one thing for James to do it would suggest he donated to more charity's and donated to the less fortunate more often. Although James is trying to be more sustainable with his choices it doesn't always go the way he wants or expects it to. As a group we feel that donating to charity's will lessen the clothes waste throughout the world.

Do you have any ideas for a potential solution? No matter how raw, share them with your Mentors for feedback.

one solution we are considering is that people will bring in unwanted clothes in exchange for money. We will give these clothes to homeless charities

Ask your Mentor anything …. This is a chance to ask your Mentors a direct question relating to your Big Idea.

how will we go around making our idea possible?
