Lunchtime and pocket money was a big talking point and their was a big divide between the students and their own access to pocket money and what they eat for lunch. We are in a DEIS school and students receive a free small break snack (fruit, cheese crackers and rolls and scones) but at lunchtime its a hot meal which they contribute to and order online. The students felt the quality of the food was poor and portions too small and preferred to go up town and get food up town but this was not available to all students.
That students were worried about the quality of food and were so health conscious.
not sure to be honest very little contact time with the students but an idea that would bridge the gap between those who have and have not
