Why did your team choose to focus on this challenge?We chose to focus on this because we feel it’s an important and relevant topic in today’s society as costs seem to be rising constantly. It’s also relevant to us as in a few years we will probably be moving out of home to go to college and will have to become financially independent from our parents.
What have you learned about the challenge that you didn't know before?
Before the challenge we didn't know the reasons for why the cost-of-living crisis was happening. It is happening because of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the rising gas prices and covid. We also found out that people's wages are not rising but the price of products are which means people have less money to pay bills and have a social life
Outline the specific problem you would like to solve for your Hero and two or three solutions you think would help.
We would like to help our hero to be more cost effective so he can live an easier lifestyle and have more discretionary income. We would like our hero to be able to comfortably pay all his bills and have a substantial amount of money left over that he can either save or use for his social life.
