Why did your team choose to focus on this challenge?We are very aware of people experience poverty and especially elderly people not being able to heat their homes, we came across a story of a couple who preferred to stay in one room in their house and another who preferred to remain warm in the bed.
What have you learned about the challenge that you didn't know before?
Increases in fuel costs, how certain parts of our population are experience FUEL poverty, from interviewing people, we have identified the issues that our hero's are experiencing , the difficulties people are experiencing on a daily basic, the fact that global warming is influencing weather conditions and making it more difficult for parts of the population, especially those that are on fixed incomes.
Outline the specific problem you would like to solve for your Hero and two or three solutions you think would help.
We would like to create a fuel source using spent paper that we will make into compressed FUEL BLOCKS that we will distribute via Alone and St Vincent de Paul to needy individuals
