Why as a team did you choose to focus on this challenge?

Because we both have a considerable amount of knowledge and experience in the topic of men's mental health and figured it would be nice to come up with a solution to help others.

What do you know now about the challenge that you didn't know before?

The overwhelming effect that women can have on men's mental health coupled with one's upbringing situation, for example I believe every man has been told as a child that boys don't cry,a notion that is false but accepted by many in today's society.

What have you learnt about your Hero?

Our hero is young teenage men and the mental health issues they face on a daily basis,we learnt that there is an overwhelming amount of men who don't feel safe expressing their feelings and opinions because they're under the impression that showing emotions as a man is a sign of weakness,a notion reinforced by today's society.

If you could improve one thing for your Hero what would that be?

The lack of people being educated on the fact that expressing emotions as a man is completely normal and nothing to be judged for or feel ashamed about.

Do you have any ideas for a potential solution? No matter how raw, share them with your Mentors for feedback.

As of now we have no current ideas as we're figuring out details such as the very nature of our idea ( whether it should be a service or a place).

Ask your Mentor anything …. This is a chance to ask your Mentors a direct question relating to your Big Idea.

As of now we have no questions regarding the project but im sure that that's soon to change.
