We chose to focus on Diversity and Inclusion. The challenge is how small minority groups face discrimination even though they are no different from anyone else.
We have learned that there are smaller minority groups that don't face as much backlash or get as much attention as homophobia or racism, yet they would all go through similar discrimination.
The specific problem is that she is discriminated against by her boss due to her race and sexuality. Some solutions that might help her in this situation include reporting her boss for his behaviour toward her. She could also educate others in her work place on the problem and it's affects.
We would like to ask our mentor what they know about small minority groups and if they have any idea for a solution.
