Our Idea

Why did your team choose to focus on this challenge?

The challenge we chose was mental health and we decided to go with it to bring awareness to one of Irelands fastest-growing problems.

What have you learned about the challenge that you didn't know before?

We have learned that Ireland has one of the highest rates of poor mental health. It is in the top 3/36 countries in Europe and 18.5% of the Irish population are recorded to have mental illnesses or just generally poor mental health.

Outline the specific problem you would like to solve for your Hero and two or three solutions you think would help.

The problem we would like to solve for our hero is addiction. Our hero's mental health problems were seriously inflicted by addiction to drugs. This meant he lost all relationships with his friends and family and struggled with money and his overall mental health. We think to overcome this issue he needs to realize how much love he has for his daughter and how much drugs have impacted his life.
