We decided to focus on the challenge MENTAL HEALTH, because we think that it is a topic that should be talked about a lot more. Many people don’t want to talk about their own Mental Health because they think they struggle alone. So we want to create something that helps people who struggle with mental health but also informs about the topic. Mental Health is something that many people our age also struggle with so it is something that matters a lot.
From our research we discovered the challenges people with anxiety depression and bpd suffer from. Some effects of people with bpd normally suffer from the following; fear of abandonment, unstable and intense relationships, unstable self image or sense of self, rapid mood changes, impulsive or dangerous behaviour, repeated self harm or suicidal behaviour, persistently feeling empty, anger management issues and temporary paranoid thoughts. People with depression suffer from the following; feeling sadness, tearful, emptiness, hopelessness
Q3. We learnt that our hero suffers lots with their mental health issues a lot and it hurts them a lot socially and at home and at school and in work and with their friends and by themselves. This because they have depression and anxiety and schizophrenia which is all very bad. The reason for these medical mental illnesses is that our hero was just born with and s its just bad luck and coincidence so there's nothing they can do about it at
something we would improve for our hero is help him to be more confident as it would help him to be more comfortable in every day life and being around other people. It would help with his anxiety and not caring what others think or say.
one solution we are considering is a safe place that teens can go to, to talk about their problems or even just say what's on their mind and the person they are talking to can hopefully give them some advice to help them overcome these issues.
do you have any other ways we could expand our ideas or make it assessable for more people? Do you think we should do it so that the person coming in is anonymous? do you think that would encourage more people to come in and try to get help?
