We chose to focus on Mental Health because we feel that a lot of people struggle with mental health in school and don't speak about it. We wanted to enable these people to be able to speak about it or take some time out to support their mental health.
From our research, we discovered that many people struggle with mental health in silence and do not tell anyone. We also discovered that even though you may think that people would be free to talk about their mental health, many people do not feel comfortable talking about it.
Our hero is someone struggling with their mental health, the challenges they face are struggling in silence, not being able to talk to anyone or feeling as though they can't.
If i could improve one thing for our Hero it would be having somewhere they can go and feel comfortable talking about their mental health, or just having somewhere to go to take some time out.
One solution we are considering is organising nature walks during wellbeing classes for younger year groups. We think that this is a good idea because it would not prevent students attending classes but it would give them a good opportunity to get out of the class environment to chat with their friends in fresh air.
Are nature walks a good idea to support mental health?
