Why as a team did you choose to focus on this challenge?

As we believed that mental health was a problem that affected everyone, we decided that working as a team to raise awareness about it may be interesting. We believe that many young people nowadays are dealing with a serious problem with their mental health, thus we felt obligated to assist our friends.

What do you know now about the challenge that you didn't know before?

We have now discovered a wide variety of new things concerning our conflict. In the beginning, we learned about the rise in mental health problems. Second, we discovered wonderful benefits from working on the project together and learned about many strategies to foster empathy and aid those in need. Although it was an extremely challenging task, we learned a lot of new information.

What have you learnt about your Hero?

The average individual serves as our hero. WE selected this as our hero to demonstrate how many individuals nowadays are struggling internally, even though you might not be aware of their problems. They are struggling because of the pressure of school and tests. As we know how stressful exams can be, we chose to honor the heroics of the moral heath.

If you could improve one thing for your Hero what would that be?

WE would change the way they handle the stress and worry that today's youth experience. We would enhance their communication skills to enable them to speak up about their issues, attempt to assist others, and recognize that they are not dealing with this issue alone.

Do you have any ideas for a potential solution? No matter how raw, share them with your Mentors for feedback.

Making posters to let those who are struggling feel that they are not fighting alone and that they should always speak up is one solution we are considering. To make those in need feel more welcome, we intend to build many of secure and comfortable spaces all over the school.

Ask your Mentor anything …. This is a chance to ask your Mentors a direct question relating to your Big Idea.

How would you help us try to create awareness.
